Spend some time with your family, friends, and neighbors making Sycamore Park a fun and magical place for our kids!
We hope that everyone who knows anything about this project will get out there and help us actually build the park. It will be a four-day, fun filled, barn-raising kind of event that will transform a community of neighbors into a community of friends.
Whether you have a special talent or just plain old inexperienced enthusiasm, we need you to help make this vision a reality! We are looking for "skilled" and "unskilled" help from using a power tool to serving food. Skilled workers need not be carpenters, but they must be comfortable with power tools and be able to cut a straight line with a circular saw. Volunteers who feel uncomfortable with carpentry can help with other important tasks at the site - childcare, food preparation, sanding, shoveling and assisting with carpentry jobs. No task or time contribution is too small and there is something for EVERYBODY!!
Sign up now and be a part of this landmark event!
We need Build Week Captains work alongside the construction consultants, overseeing and instructing crews and helping to maintain quality. They make it possible for Leathers’ consultants to keep hundreds of volunteers working efficiently. Strongly committed captains take care of the details that make working on a project fun, safe, and productive. This role does not require a construction background. If you enjoy leading people and keeping them excited and focused, then this is the job for you. Build dates are June 21-26, 2006. Ideally captains would be there for all 5 days.| FUNDRAISING & EVENTS | BECOME A SPONSOR |
